The eVisa can be used for a short stay in India, but it is not extendable, convertible, or valid for protected areas. It costs 129 Euro and must be applied for 72 hours in advance of departure. Additionally, travelers must complete an online form called the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form in order to enter India. The form must be completely completed before arriving at the border, and if not, the visitor will be refused entry.

You can apply for an Indian eVisa before you leave your home country and use it as a travel document for your trip. The Indian eVisa is valid for up to 180 days and allows multiple entries. Depending on your purpose of travel, you can choose to stay in India for 90 days or 180 days. There are also two types of eVisas – the tourist and the business.
