If you want to visit New Zealand but do not need a visa to do so, you may wish to apply for a NZeTA, or New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, visa. These are multi-entry travel permits issued by the Schengen region or by the United Kingdom. However, you must remember to apply for the right visa for your stay. If you do not have one, you may be eligible for a Schengen visa, which is the exception for New Zealand citizens.
NZeTA is a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority
To get a NZeTA, or New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, for your Visa Waiver, you need to apply in advance. This process may take up to 72 hours, and you must meet certain character requirements. You must also have a ticket to leave the country within 3 months of arriving. Applicants are advised to print the application and bring it to New Zealand.
It is a multiple-entry permit
A multiple-entry visitor’s visa in New Zealand is required for frequent visitors to the country. Typically, this type of permit is granted to most applicants who are seeking a visitor’s visa. Those who are currently in the country but have not been in the country for more than nine months may apply to have the conditions for their multiple-entry permit modified. This will allow the person to visit New Zealand for several months, while those who are not frequent visitors to the country can apply to have the conditions for their multiple entry permit waived.

It is issued by Schengen member states
The European Union has made it easier for citizens of the country to travel throughout the Schengen Area. A visa waiver allows citizens of these countries to visit the Schengen Area, which includes all member states and non-member countries like the UK and Ireland. Citizens of the Schengen Area are required to fill out an application called ETIAS. This application requires a scanned copy of a valid passport, a working debit or credit card, and a valid email address.
It is issued by the United Kingdom
A United Kingdom citizen may qualify to use a New Zealand Visa For Visa Waiver (NZeTA). This type of travel document enables a British citizen to enter and exit the country without the need for a visa. A British passport holder can visit New Zealand without a visa or NZeTA as long as the date of departure is within six months of the date of arrival.

A New Zealand Visa For Tourists is issued by the Cook Islands if you are a resident of the country. It is also required for Fijian citizens who wish to work in the Cook Islands.
